A Swiss army knife of a collaborator, good for anything we’ve yet asked for.

Jacob is a collaborative self-starter with an exceptional work ethic. It is an understatement to say he went above and beyond in fulfilling our casting needs. Jacob stayed within the confines of our limited talent budget while creatively thinking outside the box. Jacob provided us with a range of options for each role, supporting his selects with thorough explanations. He was receptive to all feedback and willing to pivot at any time, with stellar communication every step along the way. In his research, Jacob was thorough, often obtaining firsthand accounts of actor’s on set behavior. His passion and persistence set a precedence for the team.
At the outset of pre-production, it was a no-brainer to bring Jacob on as an Associate Producer. Over the course of our eighteen day shoot, Jacob proved himself invaluable. He was consistently the first one to set and last to leave, with an enthusiasm for every aspect of production. Jacob went above and beyond in providing a helping hand to everyone on set.
— Jennifer Levinson (Co-Writer/Producer, Trust):
You’re a hard worker, and give good, honest notes... If you keep going the way you have all these years, you’ll be fine.
— Fred Roos (Academy Award-winning Producer, Megalopolis)
Jacob was the Casting Director on Wine Club, the first film we produced under the Static Films banner. He brought our producing team together with the writer/directors and led us into a great collaboration, joining us on set each day and going above & beyond his role because he believed in the project & the team. A few months later, I called him after a tough day at work and within 30 minutes he was at my house with 3 pints of ice cream and a six-pack. We watched horror films and talked all night. He’s a guy with incredible taste, an eye for talent, a connector of people, and beyond all that — a friend. This is a guy you want in your corner. Every next project I’m involved in, I look for ways to bring Jacob into the fold, and I hope that endeavor is mutual… (it is)
— Stephen Mastrocola (Producer, Wine Club)
Jacob brings a lot of passion and creativity to every project he endeavors.
— Michael Greenwald (Endorse Management Group)
One of the friendliest, most efficient, and biggest film buffs out there in the industry. After he connected with me and talked character details, Jacob then helmed setting up auditions in San Francisco and Los Angeles for the 1000+ actor submissions received for the film. Further communication resulting in 100s of auxiliary online submissions (theatre companies, acting schools, universities) from other parts of the US and Europe were also in play. His wisdom and warm approach helped really bring to life the final casting choices with proper assessment and research.
— Hassan Said (Director/Co-Writer/Producer, This Is Your Song)
This guy is persistent.
— Giorgos Karnavas (Producer, Triangle of Sadness)
Jacob came to the set of Katie’s Mom as a substitute Covid Compliance Officer, but within a few days, he made himself an essential member of the team, stepping in to fill any role that was given to him. He was particularly helpful in casting background actors, consciously adding diversity to our group scenes by making sure to create a balance of men and women and people from different cultures and ages. He had a wide range of contacts and stayed organized. For me, he was a calming force and someone I knew I could rely on.
— Meryl Branch-McTiernan (Writer/Producer, Katie’s Mom)
You can say that I think you are hard working and a very talented writer.
— Jan Glaser (Casting Director, CSA)
Jacob was a mentee for a program through the Casting Society of America. He is intelligent, thoughtful and passionate about our industry. He is knowledgable about film/ television and actors and has a drive to learn even more. No doubt he will find success in his endeavors in our field.
— Stephanie Holbrook (Artios Award-winner, CSA)
You’re very creative in your thought process, which I like.
— Jason Fong (Executive, Outlier Society)
Jacob’s focus on story and keen eye for actors has made the casting process for Trust a smooth and enjoyable process. His knowledge and experience enabled us to explore creative solutions, even when working with budget constraints. I loved working with Jacob and developing a friendship in the process, and I intend to continue working with him on many projects to come.
